Leading supplier of health and safety products is undergoing a large IT transformation and they’re looking for a Data Engineer to join their Macquarie Park office on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Data Engineer will be responsible for data architecture and manipulation and work in an Agile Development team dealing with data assets and processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing data and analytical support required to deliver advanced analytics projects
  • Explore data acquisition opportunities
  • Assisting with operation of advanced analytics systems and improving workflow automation
  • Support machine learning model development and deployment
  • Provide tools for analysis of data
  • Design user guides and technical specifications for applications and tools
  • Ensure API’s stability and maintain data quality

Skills required:

  • Extensive data engineering experience
  • Data architecture and manipulation experience
  • Expert experience with SQL, Python, Spark and Docker
  • Experience building AI products end to end
  • Experience analysing large datasets and deploying models with modern machine learning platforms
  • Demonstration ability to build relationships with stakeholder
  • You must have excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
