The Role

We are working with a large international brand with a global footprint that includes New York, London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Singapore as well as here in Sydney where there is an immediate need for an I.T Support Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst – IT Support, Desktop Engineer, Desktop Analyst - MANADRIN SPEAKING

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning that ensures system availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Configure and install new network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, QoS) and Windows servers.
  • Provide IT support to the Bank staff on desktop (PC, printer, PBX, Windows, MS office, etc). Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Perform daily system data backup and restoration.
  • Maintain and implement the Bank’s IT disaster recovery plan.
  • Manage licenses & support contracts on hardware and software.
  • Responsible for cooperating and liaising with third-party IT vendors and service providers.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring and management of the computer room.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years IT working experience in BANKS or financial institutions is essential
  • The successful candidate will have a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject.
  • You will need to have good experience and technical knowledge of system administration of VMware, Windows server, Active Directory, SQL Server, DFS, etc.
  • Chinese language skill is essential. Experience in network engineering of Cisco products (routers, switch, firewalls,etc).
  • You must have good communication skills and be a team player.
