The Organisation

A New South Wales Government organisation is seeking an experienced Development Manager to manage the end to end delivery of residential developments. They are a state owned land and property development corporation working in conjunction with the private sector to produce quality housing and communities that also delivers social and economic benefits to the people of New South Wales. This organisations priority is to deliver the New South Wales Government housing agenda, which is currently focused on housing supply, affordability and diversity.

The Role

As the Development Manager, you will be tasked with managing specific internal and external project related activities. The Development Manager will be responsible for the acquisition, planning, development and financial control, marketing and sale of various land development projects within approved limits.

The Development Manager will prepare briefs, review tenders and appoint, direct and control consultants and contractors to specific projects within delegated authority limits. The Development Manager will conduct site visits during project development phases to ensure all contractual agreements are being achieved to a high standard. The Development Manager will also undertake a post implementation review once the project is completed.

The Person

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience developed from a range of property disciplines and/or backgrounds such as engineering, surveying, valuing, real estate, land economics, planning and architecture. The Development Manager will be capable of establishing and maintaining active and ongoing contact with other managers within the organisation as well as key stakeholders.
