Digital Communications Specialist
12 Month Full time Contract
South Wharf

Global market leading consumer goods organisation in over 180 markets is looking to hire an experienced digital communications specialist to join their growing global communications hub in Melbourne.

  • Reporting to the Communications Lead Australia
  • Ensure smooth community management across various social media platforms for communities across Australia and Japan
  • Ensure consistent high-quality engagement across corporate social media channels of Australia and Japan
  • Draft responses and seek approval for corporate communications in both Japanese and English
  • Draft responses to engage with users of various profiles (from scientists to journalists and consumers) based on pre-approved response book and further external sources
  • Contribute to the internal social community management response guide
  • Contribute to and regularly update the corporate social media response book
  • Align to the corporate tone of voice of the organisation
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across the global communications team
  • Ensure fulfilment for KPI’s: number of assessed messages, quality of responses, response time


  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Experience working within a fast paced, challenging environment
  • Experience in an external communications or Public Relations position
  • Experience across social media community management or engagement
  • Ideally have experience across social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuit.
  • Team player, able to work alongside and with internal stakeholders
