Advanced Child Care Educator Diploma Qualified, Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, paid meal breaks and monthly RDO’s!

My client is a new service located in Paddington in the inner city, east of Sydney. It is easily accessible by public transport along Oxford Street or Moore Park Road and there is some on street parking nearby. Operating Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 6:00 pm, the service provides long day care services for children aged from 6 week to 6 years old, alongside a full preschool program preparing children aged 3 to 5 years for the transition to school.

The centre welcomes each child as a valuable contributor and co-creator of curriculum with a wealth of knowledge and lived experience. The centre is based around supporting the Lives of the Sydney water families.

A big element of the centre is based around involving relationships with children and families, discovering interests and opinions of children and families. This enables educators to celebrate the interests of child, this is how the curriculum goes.

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have:

  • 12+ months previous experience working as a Diploma qualified Child Care Educator within an early childhood service
  • a Diploma in Children's Services qualification or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification

You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of:

  • National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Early Years learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Child Protection & Mandatory Reporting
  • knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children
  • the capability to engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
  • the ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff
