Randstad Education specialises in the recruitment of Early Childhood staff across Melbourne. We specialise in Pre-Schools/Kindergartens, long day care centres, occasional care services, OOSH services and vacation programs. We are currently recruiting for a director to a 233 place with 40 staff ELC.

The centre

This brand new super centre in the Chadstone area is seeking an experienced diploma trained Director or Area Manager to lead this brand new state of the art ECL. We are looking for a manager who has strong leadership skills will be inspirational and empower a brand new team of educators. This service will provide excellent management support, high child ratios, excellent funding and resources, and enticing staff benefits both quarterly and yearly.

The role:

In this position you would be managing a large long day care centre 233 place , open 7:00am– 6:30pm, and catering for children aged 0 - 5. Your role would include overseeing all aspects of the centre: daily routines, staffing, ratios, policies, regulations, rostering, staff management, parent relationships, working in conjunction/reporting directly into your area manager , implement policies and procedures, attend staff meetings where required, ensure the centre is providing the highest quality care.

Essential:

  • Hold their completed Early Childhood Teaching degree or Diploma of Childrens servicers
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate
  • Be experienced managing a team of up to 20 staff
  • Be experienced as a centre manager or Area Manager
  • Be confident with leading and mentoring staff
  • Be experienced handling parent enquiries and conducting tours/orientations
  • Be experienced writing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Have a solid understanding of the EYLF
  • Have a solid understanding of new VICTORIAN regulations/legislation
  • Be looking to commit to a role long term
