Randstad Education have partnered with a well know, global client and currently seeking a highly motivated and professional Centre Director / Service Manager / Centre Manager to join the team of a well established childcare organisation.

This well established organisation ideally want to meet with candidates who align with their core values of care and respect, professionalism and innovation. Their purpose is to provide total childcare solutions to local families within the Canberra region, with openings in their Gunghalin services.

You will be required to lead an experienced team in reaching the highest quality care and education for all children and families and will also have a strong drive to excel in all areas of the EYLF and NQS frameworks, being able to use this knowledge to develop, design and implement educational programs.

This non-contact leadership role will include but not be limited to the following:

Leadership:

  • Build and maintain quality trusting, cooperative and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Daily Operations:

  • Ensure all enquiries are addressed appropriately and in a positive manner, providing relevant information to promote access to the service. These must be documented and reported on in accordance with policy and procedure

Quality Education:

  • Coach educators to ensure the effective implementation of intentional teaching and to adopt the principles of the Early Childhood Code of Ethics

Compliance:

  • Ensure service compliance and commitment to relevant childcare regulations and the National Quality Framework

Human Resources:

  • Ensure safe, fair and effective work practices are maintained for all staff by following all policies and procedures with regard to recruitment

Marketing and Promotion

  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Judgement and Decision Making:

  • Ability to make timely assessment of situations to determine the importance, urgency and associated risks and make informed decisions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Vulnerable Peoples Check
  • Relevant Experience

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience as a Centre Director or extensive Assistant Director, 2IC
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and being able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Experience in managing people through periods of change is highly desirable
