Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Electrical Reliability/Maintenance Engineer for a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to a large growth phase currently underway and the commitment to major asset upgrades to improve performance on the project, this exciting opportunity is available. Interviews and commencements will occur over the next few weeks. This role will be offered as a six month contract through Randstad; contracts have the potential for extensions.

You will provide effective technical expertise and engineering governance to a range if surface operations projects.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conduct investigations of unplanned equipment downtime events
  • Undertake detailed analysis of critical equipment performance, maintenance strategies and system design to implement improvement initiatives
  • Ensure Work Management (WM) compliance across functional areas (execution, planning and A&I)
  • Determine equipment capability assumptions to align with the 2 year production plan by identifying inefficiencies and review of life of plant, equipment and infrastructure and ultimately develop scope of requirements for the upgrades
  • Provide specialist advice for quality of maintenance work that supports the benchmark of the equipment function

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Post Secondary qualified in Engineering (Electrical or a closely related discipline)
  • Experience in end-to-end maintenance engineering (work management inclusive)
  • Proactive and intuitive problem solving skills with an attention to detail
  • Reliability management experience with exposure to RCM and FMECA will be highly regarded
  • Highly engaged, collaborative and committed to building mutually beneficial stakeholder and peer relationships across functional teams
  • Root cause analysis (ARCA) and defect elimination experience will be considered advantageous
  • Exposure to maintenance management software such as SAP etc.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with heavy fixed plant, resources and mining experience. Take this opportunity to secure a rare role offered as either a flexible FIFO roster ex Adelaide or residential. This roster is open to interstate applicants. However candidates must pay their own travel expenses to Adelaide.
