ABOUT THE ROLES

Data Analyst

  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data migration & collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Data Engineer

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Design, develop and implement data pipelines for data migration & collection, data analytics and other data movement solutions.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using ETL, Database Replication,
  • Application Integration, SQL and ‘big data’ technologies.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven expertise and experience in a similar role
  • Technical expertise regarding data acquisitions, data transformation, data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Big Data integration and streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka, Flume, Talend etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Big Data processing technologies (e.g.
  • Spark with Scala / Java / Python / R)

In addition, you will possess strong problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and positive with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels.
