Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Event Planner to enhance their reputation and presentation of the division at all times. This role demands an exceptional individual and highly organised professional.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate an Annual Awards ceremony(s) for the District
  • Respond to a range of enquiries (in person and over the phone) to executives that are approving nominations
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to Committee Members in regards to reviewing and rating nominations
  • Respond to a range of enquiries (in person and over the phone) to staff regarding the nomination process
  • Review and management of nominations
  • Draft documents and communications
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for all events
  • Prepare Booklets summarising nominations and details regarding each nominee
  • Liaise with sponsors
  • Under the guidance of Senior Manager Workforce Development conduct post implementation survey and compile report with recommendations based on results
  • Maintain accurate records of nominations and staff details regarding nominations
  • Coordination of Continuous Service Certificates for District recognition
  • Act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote a culture and supporting practice that reflect the organisational values through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with clients/ employees

You will have:

  • Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks while managing competing work priorities and work flow within allocated resources
  • Ability to work independently and with demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork across large organisations
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving
  • Experience of responding to a range of customer enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment
  • High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service with excellent attention to detail
  • High level ability to use Microsoft Office packages in particular Word, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint
