Currently, we seeking an experienced Events Officer for our valued client in the Brisbane CBD fringe area, to be considered for the position you will be confident in your ability to organise and implement events management activities. This position is to start asap and is for a long term contract.

Some of the key duties will include:-

  • plan, deliver, promote and evaluate significant events, awards and programs for the Queensland Government.
  • develop partnerships and working relationships with key stakeholders in local and state government, community groups and other committees and councils.
  • review and update the delivery, promotion and administration of event programs and projects to maximise the effectiveness of the events.
  • support the marketing and promotion of events and the production of promotional and marketing collateral
  • develop budgets, risk management, operational and strategic plans relating to events, awards and celebrations

Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified or have at least two years experience in a similar role. You will have strong leadership skills coupled with strong written and oral communication skills, including liaison, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
