EOI - Administration Officer

Randstad’s dedicated Government Team has been partnering with Local, State and Federal Government Departments and Authorities across Australia for over 25 years. We are proactively seeking Administration Officers for upcoming short term, long term and ongoing contracts within the Brisbane CBD.

Please note this is an expression of interest and will be used to recruit for a variety of AO2-AO4 roles within the public sector.

About the Role:

Within these roles you will utilise your skills and experience gained within a similar position. You will work within a team and may be required to deliver on the some of the following requirements of this role:

  • Undertake a range of administrative and management support activities to enable a responsive service to the department.
  • Autonomy to perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature
  • Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), arranging appointments, correspondence and general administration
  • Administer day to day financial matters (e.g. process payments and orders, receipting, banking, reconciling invoices for payment
  • Prepare minutes of meetings, policy documents, reports and forms
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, provide information and advice in line with departmental directives

About You:

You will have a background in providing high level executive support, with the ability to think strategically whilst being able to:

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills, ability to use Microsoft applications and the internet (SAP and TRIM experience highly advantageous).
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • High level problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Previous government experience highly desired
  • Experience in a similar position essential
