Client –

Based in Sydney CBD, our client falls within the Government sector. They are responsible for the provision of legal services to government agencies. They are currently seeking an addition to their finance team to work alongside and support the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and Accounts Payable Supervisor with the effective delivery of financial services.

Role –

The Finance Administration Officer would provide assistance on a range of activities including the accurate and timely data entry, reconciliation of various accounts and creditor statements, prepare vouchers and invoices, maintain accurate records, for financial transactions. You will be required to provide a high level of daily administration to successfully articulate written communication and prepare detailed reports for management. You must possess a strong understanding of financial data, having the ability to contribute to the completion of office projects. You will be expected to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building rapport and maintaining a collaborative working environment. Strong verbal communication skills will also be utilized when communicating financial information in a clear and concise manner to the wider audience. A successful candidate for this role would possess an extremely high level of initiative, taking full responsibility for the accurate completion of work in a timely manner.

Duties –

The duties of this position and inclusive but not limited to –

  • Follow up accounts payable and accounts receivable queries;
  • Book hire cars, make reservations for travel and accommodation;
  • Maintain proper and adequate accounting records for transactions;
  • End of month reporting including forecasting;
  • Liaise with solicitors, administrative staff and external debtors/creditors/suppliers
  • Provide accurate information to a range on external stakeholders
  • Preparation and analysis of data including workforce planning and other ad hoc data requests.

Ideal Candidate –

  • Must have Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance;
  • Must be willing to undergo a police check;
  • Ability to work as a supportive and co-operative team member
  • Possess an enthusiastic, motivating attitude;
  • Ability to manage competing demands and deadlines;
