Division Responsibilities
Our client incorporates staff in all state and territory offices and in National Office and is responsible for local implementation of a range of Australian Government programmes. Our client has a key role in delivering programmes and services, while managing relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders. The Division also contributes to policy and program development, review and evaluation of health and aged care programmes.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and assistance in regard to the Section’s management
  • Development, review and negotiation of variations to contracts, programs, projects and services;
  • Responses to inquiries and resolution of problems concerning contracts, programs, projects services provided and persons affected;
  • Records associated with contracts, programs, projects and services provided;
  • Advice to senior management on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions;
  • Work by contractors and reports on variations to work orders;
  • Preparation and review of submissions and reports concerning the Department’s activities;
  • Collection and analysis of data associated with projects undertaken and reporting on project outcomes.
  • Provide advice regarding the Department’s programme/grant management function and/or compliance and regulation function to the team leader;
  • Report to the team leader and contribute to team corporate management, planning and reporting processes;
  • Actively contribute to team processes and promote team collaboration;
  • Undertake the preparation of less complex correspondence;
  • Develop relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders, participate in negotiations and promote strategic alliances;
  • Contribute to team performance, productivity and accountability for outcomes.

Job Specific Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated contemporary program/grant management skills and / or compliance and regulation management skills;
  • Strategic, analytical, problem solving, corporate management and planning skills;
  • Strong communication and representational skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and skills in contributing to the management of programs, budgets and people;
  • Ability to work within a team in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines, improve processes and achieve organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government health and aged care programs and priorities and those of State and Territory Governments.
