The Opportunity

Our client is a Local Council located north of the river who are looking for a talented HR Administrator to support their Human Resources team on a two month contract, with the opportunity to be made permanent.

Duties include:

  • Support a busy Human Resources team with customer service, recruitment and administration
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public and candidates regarding roles on offer
  • Participate in interview assessments as required
  • Conduct candidate screening, and interviews
  • Assist with ad writing and other media within agreed timeframes
  • Arranging candidate Medical Assessments and other background checks
  • Assist with the preparation of employment contracts, and all other relevant new hire documentation.
  • Liaise with agencies (as per Tender) to source appropriate temporary personnel
  • Process invoices relating to temporary personnel purchases and recruitment and selection using the City's financial system

Essential skills:

  • Efficiency in a busy environment
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities
  • Word, particularly mail merge, and excel experience

Desirable:

  • Invoicing/receipting and finance experience advantageous
  • Experience with an e-recruitment software is desirable
