Randstad is on the lookout for an HR Project Officer to be responsible for delivering business-to-business application and office support to business users. They will collaborate with HR business users and internal project teams . The HR Project Officer will combine excellent technical and functional problem-solving skills with a keen business sense to deliver best in class client-focused support.

Primary Purpose

  • Take overall responsibility for incident management and request fulfilment
  • Respond to customer requests for system assistance in person, via phone, electronically diagnose and resolve HR system related issues
  • Research questions using available information resources; centralise knowledge management with built-in knowledge base
  • Advise user on appropriate action
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Log all help desk interactions
  • Redirect problems to correct resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Prepare activity reports
  • Inform management of recurring problems
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates

Key Challenges

  • Delivering professionally managed systems support
  • Managing the relationship and interface between the client, other internal interest groups and external agencies and providers
  • Ensuring that the best practice commercially oriented approach is considered within the requirements of ethical, government and legislative boundaries
  • Developing a business approach that ensures the identification and provision of efficiencies that can maximise resources allocated to improved customer service delivery
  • Managing time and prioritising issues given that work demands can flow from a number of sources and will include deadlines
  • Building professional and productive relationships with individuals, stakeholders, suppliers and information providers
  • Keeping abreast of current and emerging best practice, Government policy and statutory requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience providing user support and customer service on HR Systems
  • Experience with Kronos or/and SAP is a bonus but not essential.
  • Background in HR is a bonus but not essential
  • Taking calls and handling the incidents, troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action. Streamline ticketing from requests to resolution
  • Experience in working in a service function with proven ability to improve service delivery, performance standards and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Sound knowledge of systems in public sector environments particularly of those organisations making up the government agency
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a team-based environment
  • Sound communication skills including capacity to build sound relationships with key people at all levels
  • Time management and organisation skills with ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly
