Outline:

The ‘ICT Procurement Officer - Contract/Vendor Management’ reports directly to the Contracts Administrator and provides high level support to manage contractual, performance and relationship functions across existing vendors supplying services. This includes coordination of procurement projects, contract documentation and briefings as well as analysing and monitoring vendor compliance and performance against contracts.

The ‘ICT Procurement Officer - Contract/Vendor Management’ will be responsible for:

  • Develop comprehensive contract management plans and monitor performance, addressing non-performance, to achieve the required contract outcomes.
  • Maintain the integrity of contract information and co-ordinate all aspects of the contract administration process to meet organizational needs.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimize risk, resolve issues as they arise, and maximize the value of the contract.
  • Contribute to planning processes to ensure integration of vendor management with service improvement strategies; prepare and deliver presentations and briefings, and provide management with status of projects and other project related issues as required
  • Drafting procurement documentation
  • Enhance the maturity of the Vendor Management discipline within the Technology Management and Support division by employing a disciplined approach using best practice methodologies.

Relevant Experience and Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in drafting contracts and contract management, including experience in auditing and monitoring contract performance and compliance.
  • 3-5 years’ commercial experience within a procurement & IT environment
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring users and suppliers with demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills to deliver quality procurement outcomes for the organization.
  • Sound experience in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and tools.
  • Experience in a customer service environment where importance is placed on meeting customer requirements and keeping them informed.
  • Experience in systems and process development
  • Solid knowledge in building contract registers
