A leader in their industry going through one of the largest organisation integration pieces in Australia this year. They are well known to be a leading technology organisation with long-term work opportunities.

About the role

This role is suited to someone who has experience as an Infrastructure Architect and who still likes to be hands-on with projects.

You will be working across a mix of BAU and projects including data centre consolidation, replacement of equipment and more.

Technology stack: HP Servers, Cisco Flexpod, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Windows 7, Windows 10, VMware 5.x, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012, NetBackup 7.6, NetApp NAS, HP SAN, Cisco networking, Office 365, SharePoint 2010/online, Active Directory, HP laptops and desktops, Oracle 10g/11i

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders, and design teams to define the requirements of data and integration
  • Develop overarching strategies (including roadmaps, policies) to ensure infrastructure and workplace services delivered are appropriately designed and managed
  • Develop architecture and design artefacts aligned to the organisations technology strategy and processes
  • Provide the highest level of quality assurance for services within the infrastructure and workplace delivery area
  • Consult and provide advice to C suite business leaders and technology teams, with a proven ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Select and validate suitable hardware and software technologies to suit the organisations requirements
  • Technology domain ownership for storage, database and windows hosting domains
  • Provide research, analysis and recommendations to projects aligned with the target landscape
  • With the relevant program managers, identify and prioritise key solution interdependencies, ensuring the resulting programme of works is effective
  • Participate as a quorum voting member in the Infrastructure Architecture Governance Board
