About the Role

The Project Manager (ICT/Property projects) is accountable for the management of various ICT projects within Property Services program of work, delivery of the multi-project outputs and assisting the business transition project outputs to business outcomes.

The role will take responsibility for the decision making for a range of various ICT projects within Property Services program of work for the University. Using project methodologies the Project Manager will identify risks, issues and lead the team in a fast pace complex environment.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Plan, direct, and co-ordinate activities to manage and implement various projects from ideation through final operational stage to business benefit realization and a business-as-usual state using an iterative approach such as tranches, releases, or sprints.
  2. Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and satisfactory completion of one or more large complex project(s) through managing business and wider University impacts, and resources including vendors and any other external stakeholders through negotiation and influencing necessary stakeholders.
  3. Initiate, develop and maintain strong and effective internal and external networks that are relevant to meeting the completion of projects.
  4. Identify, assess, and manage the risks to the success of the project including dependencies across projects, political, business impact, market impact, and technical complexity.
  5. Lead the project change management process and ensure deliverables are completed within planned cost, timeframe, and resource budgets are signed off.
  6. Advocates the PMO methods and tools to deliver a standardised quality service of project management.
  7. Take a hands-on approach to the assessment and delivery of ICT infrastructure into property refurbishments.
  8. Work with numerous third parties adhering to strict rules of engagement in order to drive technology direction in building construction and refurbishment works.
  9. Coordinate the relocation of staff and students to enable the decant of property spaces from a technology perspective.
  10. Assist with pipeline demands coordinating estimations and consulting with stakeholders.
  11. Strong negotiation, defect management, and vendor management.
  12. Basic knowledge of construction projects ranging from minor refurbishments to major construction including reading schematic drawings and adhering to rules of engagement relevant for implementation of ITS solutions.
