Our client, a NSW Government Department are seeking a passionate internal communications officer with event management experience and exceptional attention to detail to join their team for an immediate start.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Development and implementation of Communications Plans outlining the communication methods and timings of key messages to internal stakeholders
  • Develop the key program messaging, identifying the key messages that will be communicated to internal stakeholders
  • Document and communicate messages from Executive Director
  • Assist in the planning and execution of staff awards and events
  • Ensure two way communications channels are defined and maintained throughout the agency
  • Track all communications feedback, ensure identified issues are addressed and actioned
  • Oversee all internal communications, including presentations, newsletter articles, and intranet updates to ensure consistency of messages, styles, and that they are fit for purpose and audience

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing planning, development, approval, production, distribution and/or evaluation of complex communications outputs
  • Proven ability to create accessible, strategically-aligned and persuasive content for print, the web and other channels
  • Proven ability to interact successfully with senior management and subject-matter experts
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
