Company Overview

This an exciting opportunity to join an established and respected fintech company as a Lead for the Investment Administration team as they open a new office in Melbourne. With offices established in New Zealand, Europe and Asia they are expanding into Melbourne and are looking for driven, knowledgeable and passionate people leader to join them on this journey. This is a truly unique opportunity to join a company as it expaning into Melbourne and help set up the team you will be managing.

This role will see setting up procedures and policies initially and then managing the day to day operations workflow, handling escalations, providing support and training to create a small high performing team. To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in leadership within investment operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up team procedures
  • Oversee the business operations functions
  • Lead, coach and develop the team to create a high performing culture
  • Manage escalations and complex requests
  • Act as a first point of contact for the team for support, escalations and guidance
  • Streamline processes for the operations key functions
  • Manage and delegate daily team workflows
  • Identify and implement further training opportunities for the team
  • Build strong internal and external working relationships

Key Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in similar environment (minimum 3 years)
  • Strong background in wealth operations in custody or broker environment
  • Previous experience writing procedures or change management will be highly regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level attention to detail and a passion for results
