The Client

Headquartered in Melbourne, My client is a globally recognised brand, established in October 1997 to manage and develop the markets of Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, my client’s products were imported by local distributors and have been present on the Australian automotive market since the 1940s.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of import/export documentation with 3PL providers for Australia & New Zealand, ensuring that all imports/exports are compliant with statutory requirements & can be delivered/receipted at time of arrival. Manage the payment authorisation process of 3PL’s invoices & providing administrative support to the 3PL & supply Chain Team

The Responsibilities

  • Collate import information from internal sources and forward to 3PL for document management
  • Work with 3PL to ensure all documentation is in place to allow shipments import/exportation
  • Where documents are missing chase until documents are received
  • With Finance department provide reconciliation weekly on Goods in Transit. Provide accrual values
  • Correct invoice /download errors as required.
  • Obtain Request for Quotation quotes from 3PLs and forward for approval. Record approved quotes in database
  • Produce Monthly logistics reports
  • Validates and enters landed costs into Adept ERP system
  • Manage Container unload schedules, direct 3PL which containers to unload vs demand

The Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years administration experience
  • Experience within Logistics
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills and able to work across multiple functions
  • Intermediate skill level for the rest of the MS office suite
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Great problem solving skills
  • Process Driven
  • Ability to follow repetition, but aware of errors/omissions
