The Company

My client develops solutions that enhance the quality of mission critical telecommunication & information communication technology assets.

The Role

Analyse and coordinate the logistical functions of a project. Responsible for the coordination of material within the supply chain, including planning, reporting, acquisition, distribution, internal allocation and delivery.

Duties

  • Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods;
  • Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems;
  • Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand;
  • Liaising and negotiating with warehouses, customers and suppliers;
  • Developing business by, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
  • Plan Implement material flow management systems to meet project schedule
  • Provide input into a new supply strategies
  • Identified and determine NBN forecasting methodology
  • Fibre & Copper tracking – identify improvements for fibre tracking between the warehouse, project and external service provider
  • Implementation of forecasting and review meetings for NBN NewDev, Transit and MIMA, resulting in a National Material forecast tool to better manage the inventory mix as the project changes, greater visibility for the project Manager of material value.
  • Managing inventory distribution at a national level, utilisation of national stock to minimise inventory orders and end of project material utilisation
  • Material movements review, volume, national holding, stock turns reporting to better understand the material requirements and allow for improved material ordering and warehouse requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong administrative skills
  • Degree (preferred not essential) in a Logistics related field
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and JDE (JD Edwards) skills/knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Comfortable meeting tight deadlines
  • Personal drive & motivation
