An exciting and essential role is available for an experienced Maintenance Electrician. Reporting to the Airside/Landside Team Lead, the Maintenance Electrician is accountable for ensuring that electrical maintenance activities carried out provide an efficient and timely service to customers and comply with relevant statutory regulations and airport policies and guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the maintenance and reliability of the electrical systems associated with the airports terminals, buildings, lighting and power distribution and airport lighting infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Maintenance plan
  • Attend to reactive maintenance (unscheduled breakdown)
  • A customer focused approach to work
  • Other duties as reasonably directed

The successful applicant will require:

  • Experience in electrical maintenance activities in a commercial environment
  • Ability to fault find and problem solve
  • Able to understand and implement maintenance procedures
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and data
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
  • Electrical “A” Class
  • EWP Licence – Work Zone Traffic management
  • Ability to use computer based software and applications
  • Flexibility (as rostered on-call work will be required)
