Randstad are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a Water Utilities company based on Brisbane’s inner North.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate where a thorough handover will be provided. Busy role within a fantastic, supportive team and onsite parking available.

Responsibilities

  • Optimise maintenance activities by working closely with stakeholders to maximise resources and productivity
  • Prepare a Master Control Plan for maintenance work to be delivered within the Operational Program
  • Prepare KPI reports including progress against targets on a regular basis, as per operational requirements
  • Manage work flow queues within your area of responsibility to ensure KPI compliance
  • Coordinate with the client for regular progress and performance reports on client-related activities, materials, approvals, potential time and/or cost impacts
  • Liaise with Operational Supervisors to effectively allocate resources and dispatch work orders
  • Proactively identify, interpret and highlight risks and initiate action to prevent problems from occurring
  • Make recommendations to Management on opportunities to drive in budget savings, improved efficiencies and more effective utilisation of electrical, mechanical, civil staff, contractors and assets
  • Support the Operational teams in the implementation of changes to planning processes as required to meet the needs of the businesses
  • Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying and harassment
  • Comply with the company and client’s Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment management systems, including statutory obligations
  • Consistently deliver excellent Risk and HSEQ results, driving for zero harm

Essential criteria

  • Experience as a maintenance planner (preferably in a similar environment with mechanical / electrical /civil maintenance works)
  • Planning and dispatch experience in a high volume maintenance environment
  • Experience using SAP for work order management and dispatch
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Knowledge of the technical requirements for maintenance activities in the water industry
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated written communication and IT skills
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex service-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving the required cost, quality and time schedules
