An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly motivated, outstanding individual to lead this company through an exciting period of its development and this position will be the "public face" of the industry in Australia.

The initial requirement of this position will be to streamline the focus and day to day runnings of the head office, followed by driving membership growth and finally, influencing both Federal and State industry related decisions, undertaking strategic business development, and secure long-term sustainability with innovative programs. This will be working alongside a strongly committed Board of Directors

  • Able to build productive relationships with Directors, Politicians, Advisors, and industry organisations and other member organisations
  • Oversee comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations strategy to enhance our clients Australia’s effectiveness
  • Proven ability to secure financial growth in the Not For Profit (NFP) sector via increased membership, corporate sponsorship, philanthropic contributions and government funding, thus ensuring financial sustainability and ongoing revenue generation opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships to increase our clients Australia’s profile
  • Identify and develop potential entrepreneurial opportunities within the industry with an emphasis on long-term, sustainable relationships
  • Ability to propose options to the Board for consideration that allow them to make informed decisions and support the delivery of outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal and high-level communication skills to build strong alliances
  • IT literacy knowledge sufficient to appreciate the changing methods of operation and communication
  • Ability to work with political figures and other opinion formers at all levels, and to speak publicly on industry issues with discretion and judgement
  • Excellent political skills and an established networker keeping abreast of all that is going on in the industry

It would be beneficial that the successful candidate will have both Commercial and NFP industry experience. You’ll be able to highlight a career to date that includes building sustainable success in environments that required a combination of business acumen, innovative and entrepreneurial skills, marketing skills, and well-honed lobbying and political influencing capabilities.
