On Boarding Officer

My client is seeking a experienced On Boarding Officer

Position Purpose

The On-boarding Officer will provide advice to line Managers in regarding to process, tracking, and reporting during the on-boarding process. You will have well-developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate in a confidential and sensitive manner and excellent strong stakeholder management skills. You will be responsible for tracking incoming staff after a recruitment or hiring process and responding to queries from line Managers . You will have sound judgement and the ability to handle time-critical tasks.

Responsibilities may include but limited to:

  • Using excel to track staff coming into the agency and provide support to managers.
  • Escalating issues during an on-boarding process.
  • Ensuring that intranet, workflows, and forms are kept up-to-date with current processes.
  • Working with the Human Resources Information System is kept up-to-date.
  • Write Offers of Employment.
  • Provide weekly, fortnight and monthly reporting statistics on on-boarding timeframes.
  • Skills and Personal Attributes
  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability.
  • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.


  • Ability to analyse, and produce a range of statistics and reports using MS Excel
  • Basic to Intermediate skills with MS Excel and/or Access.


  • Communicate clearly with staff and managers.
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the on-boarding functions of internal and external staff.
