THE FIRM:

An exciting opportunity now exists to join a growing commercial business in the Newcastle area. With offices nationally and a very established presence locally, this firm is well known for their innovative approach and being at the forefront of their industry. They are now looking for a Paraplanner to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

AS PARAPLANNER YOU WILL BE:

  • Preparing personalised SOA's
  • Preparing personal investment strategies for clients and property acquisition plans
  • Researching investments and preparing investment recommendations and reviewing client portfolios
  • Preparing cash flow model's and various other financial models
  • Executing investment transactions and managing property settlements
  • Updating of SOA templates and letter templates to better represent the changes in legislation and fees
  • Establishing Super Funds, SMSFs, Trusts, Companies, LRBAs, investment portfolios
  • Accurate record keeping, administration and data entry
  • Coordinating rollovers, insurance applications and other ad-hoc admin tasks
  • Administration of client and investment data and the timely and ongoing management and updating of client information, investment and financial data


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • You have a strong interest in becoming a financial adviser in the future
  • Must be a self starter and keen to learn
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You ideally have previous experience as a paraplanner, but attitude will be more important
  • You have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Must be degree qualified in either Business, Commerce or Finance
  • Must have at least ADFS (FP) qualification
  • You ideally have XPLAN experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative
