Great opportunity to lead the New Zealand Payroll
High volume payroll
Short fixed term contract
$80,000 - $90,000+superannuation

Working for a leading organisation in the CBD that knows how to care for people, this is an exciting position for a passionate New Zealand Payroll Officer.

Working in one of Australia's national icons, you will be working within a super friendly, supportive and engaging payroll team with guidance and support from two Payroll Managers. This role will initially be a short term contract whereby you will be the specialist for NZ payroll.

This role will be responsible for;

  • Running New Zealand Payroll from Sydney head office across various cycles
  • Process IRD & Kiwi Saver
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll runs
  • Prepare PAYE and General Ledger Reconciliations
  • Prepare and send payments electronically
  • Ensure the payroll for New Zealand is up to date across the relevant legislation
  • Assist with payroll queries
  • Be the SME for New Zealand Payroll

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Hands on New Zealand Payroll experience
  • Be competent and up to date across New Zealand payroll legislation
  • Exposure to both salary and wage payroll systems
  • Knowledgeable and up to date with the related NZ legislation
  • Have the ability to communicate across all levels of the business
  • Proactive in identifying process improvement
  • Responsible with the ability to take a lead role in the payroll are
  • Preferably New Zealand payroll experience in a fast-paced environment within a large organisation (ideally with employees of 2,000 or more)
  • Sound knowledge of working under EBA
  • Those with experience in NZ Legislation including the Holidays Act as well as a demonstrated understanding of various NZ employment and tax legislation would be considered highly favourable
  • Possess a strong understanding of Collective and Individual agreements
  • Intermediate to advanced excel and an able to identify and contribute to system improvements
