Randstad are now a preferred supplier for a number of Local Councils around Adelaide and we are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer’s for multiple opportunities in the Northern and Western suburbs of Adelaide.

As the Payroll Officer you will be responsible for the accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries and for providing high level customer service to employees when answering enquiries in relation to their payroll queries.

Day to day you will be;

  • Managing end to end payroll, 2 pay runs on alternate weeks
  • Data Entry into the councils payroll software
  • Interpreting Awards
  • Calculating superannuation, annual leave and other entitlements
  • Responding to payroll related enquiries in an timely manner
  • Processing new starters, terminations and redundancies

Skills and Experience;

  • Experience in processing payroll through Empower will be highly regarded as well as council experience
  • End to end payroll processing experience in a high volume environment
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting awards and EBA conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence to deal with payroll queries
  • Very strong organisational skills and close attention to detail
