You want to be the best payroll officer you can be so why not work for the best?

My client is a large, Australian corporate business, and they are currently looking to expand their payroll team. The team is run by an experienced and qualified payroll manager who is committed to their staff’s development.

  • Working to across multiple complex enterprise agreements.

In a bit more detail that means this:

Daily Tasks – Ensuring that all master data for employees is input correctly into the Payroll system and making changes to this data, reflecting remuneration changes in the system, adding starters and finishers and handling some queries around pay.

Weekly – Checking and running payrolls (depending on the time of the month with your weekly, monthly and fortnightly pay runs) with the team. Helping put changes to tax and legislation in to the Payroll system, making any changes to organisation structures and ensuring all security checks are up to date.

Monthly – Running the monthly payroll, helping to reconcile the accounts to the general ledger. Engaging in process improvement and project meetings.

One other thing…

The payroll manager is very keen on people ‘owning’ their roles and developing personally, this means that you will have the opportunity if you wish to work on projects that would usually not be available to the payroll team in other organisations.
