About the business and the role

An Australian organisation and a true leader in their field are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their dedicated and close knit team. With strong focus on innovation and providing solutions to their customers they remain ahead of the competition.

Reporting to the Finance Manager this role will see you responsible for:

  • Payroll processing for up to 200 staff (Weekly)
  • EBA, Award and legislation interpretation
  • End to end payroll processing using - processing payroll tax, superannuation, work cover, long service leave, termination calculation and leave accruals
  • Data Entry - Updating internal database
  • Ensuring starter packs are issued appropriately
  • Responding to and resolving payroll queries
  • Payroll reconciliation and month end reporting
  • Assist with recruitment & selection of new staff
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

  • Previous experience within a payroll environment essential
  • Experience with Payroll Systems (MYOB essential)
  • Ability to work in a structured and customer focused environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An ability to work in an autonomous role
  • Excel & Word skills essential
  • Well organized, detail orientated
