A wonderful opportunity has presented itself to join our client working across the public sector & located in the CBD during a time of exciting change within business. They are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources professional to partner with the business to provide exceptional generalist HR support to the executive, key stakeholders and client group. You will consider yourself highly motivated, a self starter, commercial and an experienced HR professional, who brings with them considerable experience in developing high quality HR solutions to enable a business to achieve its key drivers.

The People and Culture business unit is responsible for both strategic and operational human resource management, and works as a business partner with the business unit managers. The People and Culture team provides advice and support in relation to the following areas:

  • industrial relations including but not limited to the Enterprise Agreement and payroll and employment conditions
  • workforce planning/establishments
  • recruitment and selection
  • induction and probation
  • performance management/managing under-performance
  • work, health and safety including compensation, learning and development.

To be considered for the role you must have:

  1. Extensive experience (minimum of five years) in Human Resources within a complex people management environment, preferably within the Australian Public Service.
  2. High level research, analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to provide timely, authoritative and practical advice to senior managers and stakeholders.
  3. A significant record of achieving people management business outcomes that are aligned to the strategic goals of the organisation.
  4. Highly developed communication, negotiation and analytical skills including the ability to effectively communicate build and maintain beneficial professional networks, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and write policy and professional documents for senior managers, external audiences and other stakeholders.
  5. A proven ability to effectively contribute to high level planning and project management to achieve identified outcomes and to meet key performance indicators.
