job description

Our client is one of Australia's leading IP services group who prides themselves on innovation, development and growth. This role has been made as a back fill for the current incumbent who will be leaving towards the end of the year.

This amazing position forms part of the People and Culture Team and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role contributes to the successful delivery of core operational and strategic People and Culture (PC) objectives for the Business.

One of the primary responsibilities of this role is to support the Business by providing an effective and professional PC service covering the full generalist remit, including change management, recruitment and selection, performance management, learning and development, policy advice and implementation. Working as a trusted advisor to the Executive General Manager (EGM) to create lasting culture change is a high priority in the short to medium term.

Reporting into the EGM who is based in Brisbane who is very hands-off and allows for complete autonomy however just asks for transparency in the consistent communications.

You will have two direct reports, one based in Melbourne and another in Sydney. This asks for someone with a real passion for development of their team.

This role is critical, they require you to become the trusted advisor, someone who can be extremely commercial but apply common sense in your approach to take the senior leaders on the right journey. This is to continue where the current incumbent left off, by making HR a true value-add to the operations and strategy of the business.

You must have:

  • at least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager or People and Culture Manager.
  • Experience in a professional service firm highly advantageous.
  • Experience with the design, implementation and facilitation of change programs highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or Management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a mark across the company in a value-add position.
