This role is responsible for the development and execution of a weekly production plan to fulfil customer orders in full and on time in accordance with the sales and operations service level agreement. This involves open communication and coordinator of production and purchasing activities across the manufacturing team overseas. The planner is also responsible for internal sales activities which cover processing customer orders, checking customer orders match the service offer or quotation, raising order confirmations and general commercial support for the Sales Executives.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the weekly operations planning meeting
  • Producing operations summary report
  • Maintaining effective communications and teamwork with the production team and 3rd party manufacturer
  • Monitor pick, pack and despatch of products from the 3rd party manufacturer
  • Responsible for monitoring, replenishment calculations and purchase of raw materials, predominantly for the Lane Cove facility
  • Responsible for processing Sales Orders. This includes checking customer orders, service offer or quotation and compiling the order confirmation.
  • Support the Sales Executive through the compilation of weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Support the CFO with special projects
  • Actively participate in the maintenance of the Quality Management System
  • Contribute to Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental initiatives
  • Maintain quality communications with the VP-Operations, peers and subordinates through appropriate regular reports, specific purpose reports and involvement in project or development groups
  • Take a proactive role in the development and maintenance of employee relations.

Qualifications and Experience being sought:

  • Minimum 5 years experience of demand planning and or production planning in a medium volume manufacturing environment
  • APICS CPIM certifications would be valued but not necessary
