Randstad is on the lookout for a Portfolio Master Scheduler to be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the portfolio master schedule and project scheduling framework within the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) to ensure it is consistently applied across the delivery portfolio in a large, complex environment. The role assists the client’s projects, programs, and portfolios to utilise and apply best-practice scheduling frameworks, processes, and reporting.

Responsibilities include:

Support the management of the portfolio master schedule, contribute to the development of the clkient’s scheduling framework, and drive the increase of schedule and interdependency management maturity

  • Engage with project managers and project schedulers to improve the portfolio master schedule, and influence positive change with a focus on schedule management modules
  • Develop and publish reports on the performance and quality of portfolio schedules and prepare and distribute schedule reports as per defined reporting cycles
  • Set up Project Enterprise structure, Organisational Business structure and Work Breakdown structure to support the organising and planning of projects
  • Develop various layouts, filters and reports using Primavera Project Planner to set up the schedule reporting procedure
  • Check, assess and transfer project information from the component projects to the client’s Accommodation Program master schedule to ensure currency
  • Set up the structure for baseline and monthly reporting to ensure regular progress updates

To succeed in this role you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. project management or IT)
  • Experience with Scheduling standards – (challenging to implement new scheduling standards/frameworks
  • Bonus skill - Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of Primavera P6 Project Management software, including setting up of Enterprise Project Structures, Organisation Breakdown Structure and Work Breakdown Structure
  • Experience and ability to set up project web sites for communication of project schedules and relevant information
  • Knowledge of the use of tools for data transfer between Primavera P6 and other tools such as Microsoft
  • Excel and Microsoft Project experience
  • VBA skills is a bonus but not essential
