About the Role

The Project Development Manager will be responsible for various projects on infrastructure upgrades. This particular section within state government is responsible for effective delivery management with fully integrated teams providing development and delivery for contract works.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the Program Schedule
  • Preparation of Project Brie
  • Development of the tender documents, the tender process and assessment of the tenders
  • Project status reporting (Fortnightly)
  • Holding regular Project Briefings with Property, Engineering Services, Client and Delivery regarding project updates
  • Development of a delivery strategy including
  • Managing design, survey and geotechnical activities
  • Managing environmental approvals
  • Management of construction activities (including the site management contractor) for 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, if required
  • Stakeholder and community interaction
  • Liaison with internal and external stake holders
  • Management of the Provision of Utility Services and Utility adjustments
  • Project Finalisation and Handover

Requirements

  • Experienced civil engineer with demonstrated and proven competence and practical experience in similar civil engineering works and project development.
  • Qualifications and have experience and ability consistent with the definition of a “Level 2 Professional Engineer” as used by Professionals Australia (previously APESMA) and Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust).
  • Have a minimum ten to fifteen (10-15) years experience in road related projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally at all organisational levels.
