Randstad is on the lookout for 2 Project Managers to be responsible for managing the development, design and delivery of systems for the Passenger Information Portfolio Unit to deliver improved systems and services.

The role manages a team of staff to ensure appropriate team capability and effective delivery within agreed time and quality requirements.

The position is responsible for providing expert technical support and guidance to the business in designing, testing and installing passenger information systems.

Responsibilities include;

  • Manage a team of staff, including performance management and capability development, whilst maintaining high levels of staff engagement and motivation to ensure appropriate team capability and effective project delivery within agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
  • Manage the development, design and delivery of systems for the Passenger Information Portfolio Unit including planning, scoping and scheduling of projects to ensure solutions meet agreed time, cost and quality requirements and align to business objectives.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to the business in designing, testing and installing passenger information systems to ensure issues are resolved effectively, occasionally outside of core business hours and at sites across client’s network.
  • Identify, research and develop technical solutions for the Passenger Information Portfolio Unit systems to address short term system problems and long term strategic issues.
  • Manage external consultants, contractors and vendors to develop technical, configure and enhance solutions that align to business requirements and technical specifications and monitor performance against agreed time, cost and quality requirements through contract management processes.
  • Develop and executive appropriate test plans and test cases to meet system requirements in conjunction with ICT's Test and Release Centre and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage issues and risks and provide technical support to users and business managers to ensure problems are resolved effectively.
  • Maintain and update Project Management documentation to ensure projects adhere to the ICT Program Management Office project, financial, risk and change management methodologies and standards.

To succeed in this role you will have;

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience in project management in a large complex customer service environment.
  • Demonstrated staff management experience including performance management and capability development ensuring high levels of staff engagement and motivation.
  • Demonstrated project planning, project management and contract management experience including experience in the completion of projects and reform initiatives to time, cost and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, scoping, scheduling, estimation, funding and costing for programs of work.
  • Demonstrated understanding of a variety of technology systems, system requirements and IT system development processes and constraints.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to deliver successful outcomes that align to business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and policies including the NSW Public Sector Procurement Framework or equivalent.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, research, problem solving, organisational and prioritisation skills.
