Our client is a multi-disciplined company providing a range of end-to-end solutions across numerous industries. They are a well-established, reliable asset partner, offering high-quality engineering solutions and services. An Australian owned business based in Adelaide with service branches nationally.



Over the years our client has supplied the water industry with the installation of world leading technology. The company has also delivered many of Australia’s infrastructure projects with a diverse range of general engineering capabilities and have undertaken repetitive manufacturing for its clients. They have specialisations across Water, Power, Resources & Energy (mining), Defence and Rail.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of projects within their workshop based project delivery team.
  • When applicable, and in consultation with the appropriate Manager, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities
  • Manage workshop project personnel according to the established policies and practices of the organisation
  • Contract qualified consultants and subcontractors to work on the project as appropriate
  • Ensure that all workshop project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organisation and the project
  • Execute the project according to the workshop project schedule
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the production team to ensure that it meets the project standards
  • Communicate with stakeholders as outlined in agreements (RFI’s, EOT’s, Variations, minuted meetings, etc)
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase



To be considered for the role you will possess:

  • Formal qualification in Project management, mechanical engineering or at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred
  • Trade backgrounds (preferably Mechanical) with Project Management exposure will be considered
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets
  • Ability independently to reliably achieve project goals & objectives
  • Ability to work on multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in coordination of trades, subcontractors & stakeholders to meet schedules
  • Efficient decision making for resolving managerial, manufacturing, construction and mechanical problems
  • Hands-on mechanical experience pumps, valves, boilers & instrumentation
  • Experience with pressure vessel welding and WPS & PQR’s
  • Experience with pressure vessel & structural standards (API650, AS4041, AS1554.1, AS2885)
  • Competent knowledge interpreting P&ID’s and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Word
  • Experienced with safe work practice procedures and supporting them



You will be self-motivated, work well within a fast-paced team environment and use your initiative to recommend improvement opportunities. Additionally, you will have high attention to detail and accuracy, good communication and problem-solving skills.
