Quality Assurance

The role will lead the implementation of programs and activities designed to anticipate and to minimise threats to the delivery of the Voluntary Purchase and Demolition Program within Loose-fill Asbestos Implementation Taskforce. The Taskforce operates within the Risk and Resilience Policy and the Risk and Resilience Framework. There are currently 2 direct reports to this position.

Key accountabilities:

  • Implement and refine the Taskforce’s risk management plan, communicate expectations and obligations through Taskforce Executives and management team, and monitor and report on performance to improve the Agency's risk profile
  • Identify and detect potential threats to brand reputation, financial sustainability, operational efficiency, workforce investments and safety to fully develop a shared understanding for the Taskforce’s risk exposure
  • Conduct or oversee the conduct of regular risk assessments and preparation of all documentation related to risk assessment, and reviews of standard operating procedures ensuring that recommended improvements are fully implemented
  • Deliver regular risk analysis reports and advice to the Executive Director, complete with actionable plans for avoidance or prevention of possible threats at all levels
  • Develop and implement insurance strategies and financing techniques to appropriately deal with any unanticipated losses.
  • Lead and guide the Risk and Assurance team with the purpose of achieving the above objectives

We are looking for someone who has:

  • demonstrated senior level risk and assurance experience in the construction industry
  • demonstrated experience in a complex project environment
  • excellent communication skills to work with project managers across the Taskforce
  • outstanding problem solving skills
  • highly effective stakeholder management skills and be able to partner with and influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve Program objectives
