Risk Analyst - Risk, Compliance, Quality, WHS - Brisbane based


Opportunity to work at a community based not for profit organisation. You will be responsible for
ensuring the Quality Management Systems are appropriately developed and effectively managed so it delivers business improvements and appropriately manages risk and opportunities.

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliancy with all legal and regulatory obligations and maintaining accreditation with Human Services Quality Framework and ISO 9001:2015. As the framework is still in its infancy there will be an emphasis on embedding the framework and developing a culture that responds to risk and compliance and sees it as being integral to the business model.

About the role

  • Provide effective advice and guidance on compliance and risk management issues to the Executive Team and reporting managers
  • Undertake risk assessment and accident, injury and incident investigations and identify contributing factors to define preventable actions to avoid a recurrence and make recommendations to improve learning, risk identification and early intervention
  • Champion a continuous improvement agenda across the business. Assist the Quality Coordinator in the implementation and monitor of the continuous improvement functionality, including the integration of feedback provided from external and internal sources
  • Ensure Work Health and Safety policies and procedures are current and meet or exceed legislative requirements
  • Manage the Document Management System, including seeking improvements to the system, and monitoring of approval and publication processes
  • Provide support to the Quality Coordinator, and when required, lead internal auditing practices, to ensure statutory obligations and accreditation requirements are met

Key requirements

  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety would be desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance and work health and safety
  • Previous interpretation and application of ISO accreditation requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks
  • Leadership skills, able to engage with a variety of stakeholders and positively influence
