Amazing opportunity in a beautiful community in remote Northern Territory as a Room Leader in Community Child care center

Provide mentoring and leadership to educators in the room;

Provide support to staff and students in the development of learning and continuous improvement; and Supervision of staff and practice in the room.

Work effectively with families in caring for children and promote and support family involvement in the curriculum;

Promote the service in a positive manner to parents;

Maintain confidentiality and privacy;and Support the inclusion of, and be sensitive and responsive to the needs of children with disabilities and children from diverse cultural, racial, religious and socio- economic backgrounds;

To work within policies and procedures, Code of Ethics and Philosophy ensuring compliance to all relevant laws, regulations and National Quality Standards;

To act as the authorised responsible person as required; and;

To undertake administrative tasks as required;

To develop positive and supportive relationships with children;

To design, implement and evaluate quality child focused curriculum for children, which adheres to the center’s Philosophy, policies and procedures, Early Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards; and

To be an advocate for children’s rights, needs, interests and to report any concerns to the Director in relation to the wellbeing of children

Advocate for and strive to protect clients (particularly children) from harm or injustice within duty of care obligations;

Advocate for children’s rights, needs and interests and oversee staff in establishing an environment that enables and promotes these rights, needs and interests; and

Be cognisant of self care needs and the practical support needed to ensure the continued contribution to service delivery in an efficient and effective manner;

Work in accordance with, and demonstrate a commitment to, the organisations policy, procedures, vision (spirit), code of ethics, intent and values;

Contribute to, and champion the organisation’s culture and notion of community;

Communicate effectively (both oral and written);

Maintain professional confidentiality; and Report without limitation any matter or issue that may affect the organisation including but not limited to the business and culture.
