    This is a brilliant development for a COmmunications Officer to join a busy and high performing, strategic communications team.Feedback from staff in the Department often comment about how great this branch really is.You will not be bored in this role and you will be given a broad mix of duties which will include providing strategic communications advise, content development across a broad range of channels inclusing social media, print and online. You will have the opportunity to cross collaborate with your like minded team members and have access to leadership direct access to stakeholders within the Department to assist them with their communications requirements. This is a 12 month non-ongoing opportunity with the potential to go permanent, as this department always looks to retain it's talent. Key duties will include:Deliver high-quality strategic communications and account management servicesTranslate complex technical material into engaging content to meet the needs of a range of stakeholder audiencesAssist in developing and executing communications plans, evaluation plans and communications productsEdit content supplied by business areas, checking for quality, formatting, and adherence to the agency writing style guide, APS Style Manual and Web Content Accessibility GuidelinesCollaborate with staff members across the communications section to create communications products and solutionsIdeally, you will have previous Government experience in order to apply for this role given the need for this person to hit the ground running however, we would consider candidates who have worked as a communications officer previously for 1-2 years in a similar broad role focused on communications. The key to success in this role will be to build rapport with stakeholders, be supportive and enthusiastic in supporting the team and having the ability to demonstrate experience writing for a range of communication products across a range of communications channels.
