Role overall:

The sales coordinators is responsible for understanding and satisfy customers’ needs by providing innovative material handling solutions, combined with an excellent quality products and competitive prices. The main responsibility of the role is to coordinate the activities required to deliver and pick up the equipment, whilst effectively communicating with internal team members, customers and transport contractors.

Duties:

As a part of a passionate team, you’ll be the first point of contact for my client’s customers, whether face to face or over the phone. To do so, you’ll need sound knowledge of heavy equipment as well as a working knowledge of the local area. The role is fast paced, varied and challenging and to be successful in this position, you’ll need to have energy, drive and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain a transport activity schedule recording the equipment movements
  • Managing and controlling hire records
  • Face to face and telephone customer service
  • Providing customers with safety and operating instructions
  • Oversee the workshop and other operational departments
  • Identify cost efficiencies and process improvements opportunities
  • Follow up hire and sales leads, provide quotes for hires and process manual paperwork

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mechanical or hire industry experience
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a part of the team
  • Must be able to pass a National Police Check and driver’s history check

Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
