In this Brisbane based role you, as Sales Engineer, will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager. Your duties will include:

  • Building a book of business from a blend of existing and new customers in a defined territory in Queensland, starting with South-East Queensland
  • Implementing sales strategies, based on customer needs
  • Being the initial contact regarding customer technical queries
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Our client is a global and local market leader within industrial transmission and hydraulics. They offer a range of engineered products to customers across a range of sectors. They have their own overseas and local manufacturing and supply chain process. Their name is synonymous with quality. They have had impressive growth from beginnings as an agency to today being a trusted supplier of choice to manufacturing, mining and transport customers. They have invested heavily in facilities and offices across the country. It is due to this sustained growth they are looking to add an experienced Sales Engineer to join their Brisbane based Sales team.


The Role

In this Brisbane based role you, as Sales Engineer, will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager. Your duties will include:

  • Building a book of business from a blend of existing and new customers in a defined territory in Queensland, starting with South-East Queensland
  • Implementing sales strategies, based on customer needs
  • Being the initial contact regarding customer technical queries
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the CRM reporting system

Your Profile

Ideally, you will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or have an equivalent Trade qualification. You will have demonstrated technical experience in the power transmission market. You will have highly developed communication skills and proven history in establishing and growing relationships. You will be results driven and used to creating and implementing sales plans to reach sales targets. You will be used to working autonomously.
