job description

The Security Specialist role will oversee the technical security requirements of the Human Capital Management Project for the business; including completing the actions of building and configuring the final designs.

About the project

The company is implementing a Human Capital Management solution which will assist employees through the lifecycle of their employment at this company. The system will help the company to manage Human Resource (HR) processes and employee development, from recruitment through to retirement.

The system will be made up of a number of integrated modules including:

  • Recruitment
  • Onboarding
  • Learning
  • Workplace health and safety (WHS)
  • Complaints and discipline
  • Performance and goals
  • Succession and development

Delivering this project across the business will result in improved workforce training compliance; reduced data entry with the streamlined processes this project will implement; improved engagement with employees; and a centralised reporting capability to support strategic planning in delivering operational services.

Currently, the business manages HR functions across various, disparate systems. Generally, this approach has no integration between systems and leads to manual duplication of information, creating unnecessary workloads and risks to data integrity.

This system is a cloud-based, centralised system that allows employees to manage their own personnel information. Reporting is centralised and streamlined, providing the business with the ability to better comply with legislative, policy and business needs.

The role will:

  • Provide expert strategic, tactical and operational advice which ensures the confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and compliance complies with IS18 and ISO27001.
  • Provide input and hands on assistance for identified projects and operational plans for security with associated systems and services
  • Participate in design, configuration management, administration, change management, documentation and support of security design and implemented solutions within project scope.
  • Provide expert advice in security aspects of cloud hosted solutions
  • Assist to build and configure F5 IDP for cloud authentication

The candidate must have strong experience in the administration of some of the following IT Security infrastructure components and services:

  • Check Point Firewall;
  • F5 Application Delivery Controllers LTM, ASM and APM;
  • Proxy servers;
  • Secure Email Gateway;
  • External access environments;
  • Secure remote access;
  • Network security and encryption;
  • Cloud Security Architectures
  • Technical report writing;
  • Presentation skills;
  • ITIL framework;
  • Security Risk & Compliance
  • Active Directory (AD)
