My client a large Government Organisation is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a six months contract role based in Ashfield. The right candidate should be strong in stakeholder, facilitation, elicitation, analysis, conceptual modelling and project managment skills.

Key skills required for this role:

Providing subject matter expertise to support the redesign of Corporate Services operating model and implementation of program initiatives
• Prepare a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders (e.g. project charters, reports, budgets, etc.)
• Facilitate collation and analysis of critical enterprise data (e.g. personnel, functional, etc.) to support the redesign of Corporate Service’s operating model
• Work closely with HR Directors to review and revise business processes and systems to enabled the to-be CS operating model.Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

Key accountabilities

  • Design tools and implement processes to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business unit requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support the redesign of Corporate Services operating model and implementation of program initiatives
  • Deliver diverse business analysis across a variety of projects to achieve operational efficiencies and target savings
  • Prepare a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including, project charters, status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers
  • Provide advice and support to project team members on undertaking tasks and implementing project plans as required to support and facilitate effective project management and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with the PMO and stakeholders to ensure timelines are adhered to, risks are mitigated and issues are resolved.
  • Facilitate collation and analysis of critical enterprise data (e.g. personnel, functional and technical, etc.) to support the redesign of Corporate Service’s operating model
  • Develop relationships with subject matter experts within the directorate and other business areas to understand end-to-end processes, obtain business requirements and prepare business cases
  • Work closely with relevant Directors across the directorate to review and revise business processes and systems which anticipate and respond to organisational, regulatory and technological change.
