The Company:

July 2018 and the end of financial year and what a year it has been for this reputable builder whom has consistently dazzled the Commercial Industry, with their ability to over achieve in all facets of their work. In 2016 their turnover was around $74 million, 2018 and its $120 million and with 2019 looming, and a full order book they are set another cracking year of growth.

From concept through to completion their depth and knowledge of successfully, winning small to major D&C build project’s, hold’s them very much in a sought after position, allowing them to enter niche market’s and to continuously evolve.

To continue their success and As agency of choice they have requested the appointment of a Senior Contract Administrator/QS whom will be influential, vibrant, commercially astute and savvy for their exciting team, in Southern Sydney.

The Role:

With high commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills and a sheer passion for your work you will be required to work well autonomously, but also well within a team, communicating effectively with the Director’s and designated Project Manager daily.

You will be focussed negotiator , managing the financial aspects of sub-contract packages for Mixed Commercial and Residential Project’s over $5 million AUD, including Health Care, Aged care, Infrastructure, Industrial complexes, luxury dwellings, commercial fit outs and Not-for-profit government projects.

  • Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising subcontracts.
  • Progress claim assistance, external variations, preparation of subcontractor packages.
  • Administering RFI’s.
  • Preparing subcontract package’s (scopes, procurement and scheduling)

Skills & Experience:

  • You will have over 4 year’s plus experience working for a reputable Australian recognised Builder or International Builder (sponsorship) on mixed projects over $5 million.
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management or Quantity surveying.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Software experience, ideally (JOBPAC, Timberline, C.H.E.O.P.S, Acconex, MS Project, EXCEL)
  • Experience in sub contract claims, variations, EOT’s and cost planning.
  • A thirst for challenge, energy to over achieve, and vision to exceed / fast track up the ranks quickly to Project Management.
