About the role:

Reporting directly into the CEO, this is a senior position that forms part of the executive leadership team. The Director of Finance will provide strategic oversight of our clients business functions, which includes Finance, Human Resources (HR), Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Communications, Risk and Compliance.

  • With assistance from the Finance Team, monitor, control and report on financial information
  • Assist in advancing the change agenda of the organisation and play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational strategy
  • Ensure the accuracy and reporting of the organisations statutory, regulatory, management and taxation obligations, and respond to recommendations made as a result of external audits
  • Work towards the delivery of organisational values through engagement and collaboration with employees at all level within the organisation
  • Develop plans that respond to the organisations future requirements to use of capital works and assets, whilst ensure principles of value for money are applied
  • Oversee the development and implementation of finance, accounting, billing and auditing procedures

Key selection criteria:

To be considered for this position you will have experience working in a similar role for a not-for-profit. You will have a high level of emotional intelligence and solid leadership skills and the ability to engage and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting
  • CA/CPA qualified (preferred but not essential)
  • A solid understanding of the professional, ethical and legal responsibilities relevant to this position
  • A high level of communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to develop high-level reports for Executives and external parties
  • Experience in the development and monitoring of financial forecasts and budgets
