Our client, an Australian leader in passenger transport has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Workforce Planning Manager. You will report into the executive responsible for the change program who greatly values the ability to bring thought leadership to the planning function. You will consider yourself a hard-working, commercial and experienced professional. With one direct report of your own, this role is multi-facetted.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Driving the efficient, effective and concise planning, scheduling and rostering of a large workforce that consists of a multitude of varying roles and disciplines
  • Championing the strategic direction of the workforce management system implementation
  • Supporting the workforce management system’s integration with business operations and other current and future systems, driving continuous improvement
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures congruent with existing enterprise agreements
  • Leverage your cross-functional partnerships to development a strong team culture by mentoring and supervising staff with your leadership capability

Previous experience in rail, transport or aviation will be required to be successful in this role although we would consider those from other industries, who have dealt with blue collar, industrial and unionised environments.

Your high attention-to-detail and strong organizational skills will prove invaluable as you partner with and gain recognition engaging with multiple levels of stakeholders to deliver optimum workforce management tools, technologies and resources back to the business.
